Our Story
Since 2002, Afrographic has been bringing the wild to life through handcrafted leather animals. Born in Cape Town as a collaboration between local graphic artists and talented craftspeople from informal settlements, the project has grown into a vibrant creative enterprise. Today, it is led by craftsperson Lindelwa Maqabuka and business strategist Vincent Urbain, continuing a vision where design meets skill, and imagination meets hands-on craft.
Handmade with Care
Every leather animal is meticulously handcrafted, each stitch and finish applied with care. From cutting to assembly, every step is done by hand — this is where the magic happens, where artistry and craftsmanship come together to create pieces that are more than objects, they are small companions full of character.
Materials & Production
We source our leather locally from environmentally friendly tanneries, and every piece is cut using custom die templates on a clicking press. From there, our skilled craft team brings each animal to life with precision and love.
All our leather is vegetable-tanned and naturally dyed, creating beautiful, durable pieces that are safe and sustainable. Each animal is a timeless decorative collectible, designed to be cherished for years to come.
